Works on Paper

Everyone knows what toilet paper looks like, but how many have truly examined the delicate and beautiful pattern that is printed on it? Moreover, is there something that this pattern reveals about the society we live in? This is a grouping of twenty-five squares of toilet paper from a large collection I’ve accumulated from my travels. Each is framed individually in a jewel-box presentation to encourage the viewer to look more closely at these rare specimens of beauty and delicacy.


The ABCs of Plastic Surgery

This series was inspired by the baked goods that housewives have traditionally been expected to prepare and are now condemned for making women overweight. Each letter of the alphabet stands for a plastic surgery procedure that is paired with an image of a dessert, applied with iron-on transfers to vintage handkerchiefs.
